first_imgBy Erik Rojas Arenas June 10, 2020 On June 2, the U.S. Embassy in Colombia, in coordination with the Colombian Air Force, donated biosecurity equipment to the medical staff at El Tunal Hospital to protect doctors and nurses treating COVID-19 patients in this area of the country’s capital.Safety masks and goggles, N95 face masks, vinyl gloves, antibacterial gel, and biosafety protective suits were some of the donated items delivered to Dr. Luis Fernando Pineda, manager of the Integrated Sub-network of Health Services South, who said that “this is a message of encouragement amid these difficult times.”Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Narváez, head of the Colombian Air Force Integral Action Department, highlighted the importance of the donation, made possible thanks to ongoing coordination between his institution and the U.S. Embassy in Colombia. He emphasized the importance of valuing and supporting health personnel in their tasks during the COVID19 pandemic. “We admire and respect you, in these moments of health crisis; we know that you are out there confronting the disease; you are putting your lives at risk, so you are heroes; keep working,” said Lt. Col. first_imgA Fort Pierce teen who sustained burns to over 90% percent of her body in 2017 during a bonfire has passed away Friday.The family of Layne Chesney posted about her passing on a Facebook page titled: Pray for Layne Chesney. On it they wrote:“Layne was called home today by our creator. She fought a hard battle right until the end- never wanting to quit- because quitting was not in her nature…” says the post, which was published just before 12:30 p.m.“We are heart broken, but remain always grateful that she was a part of our lives and world- we just wish it had been for a lot longer with us here on Earth.“We ask that you give the family time to grieve. Leigh Ann has asked that contacts not be made as they all need time to grieve, process, and move through this terrible loss.“Thank you all for your love, prayers and support that you have shown for Layne and our family. We are broken.”Chesney was badly injured on December 31st after attempting to pour gasoline on a bonfire while at her friend’s home.Before the incident, she attended Lincoln Park Academy where she was a straight-A student and she also played softball.last_img read more

first_img1 Felipe Anderson in action for Lazio Chelsea have emerged as favourites to sign Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson.The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past but the Red Devils were unable to agree a fee with the Italian club.Anderson changed his agent recently and is now represented by Giuliano Bertolucci, who has close ties with new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.And, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte has been in contact with both Anderson and his agent about a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.Lazio were determined to keep hold of Anderson earlier in the summer but the 23-year-old has apparently fallen out with manager Simone Inzaghi about participating for Brazil in the upcoming Olympics.Conte has reportedly told Anderson he will allow him to travel to Rio if he signs for Chelsea and further talks are expected to take place this week.last_img read more
