The goal sent Kawasaki 4-1 up on aggregate and it seemed the tie was all but over. But Shinzo Koroki pulled one back for Urawa in the 35th minute with a neat finish. To make matters worse, Kawasaki’s Shintaro Kurumaya was sent off three minutes later for a high boot on Koroki. But the away side held on till the 70th minute without further losses but it all unravelled from thereon. Zlatan Ljubijankic scored a towering header from Yosuke Kashiwagi’s corner before Rafael Silva levelled the aggregate scores with a rifled shot in the 84th minute. A rattled Kawasaki Frontale were dealt the killer blow barely a minute later when Toshiyuki Takagi converted a Ryota Moriwaki cross exquisitely to send the home crowd into raptures. Urawa Red Diamonds will now take on Shanghai SIPG in the semifinal.last_img
