first_imgUPDATE: It appears that Ween has subtly swapped the photo on their announcement to something less Prince-y, all but dashing our hopes for a Purple show. Not that we’re complaining about the band’s usual shade of Brown! Check out the new artwork below:Beloved rockers Ween have announced a brand new show, hitting the Roy Wilkins Amphitheatre in St. Paul, MN on September 15th. The newly-reunited group have played a handful of performances throughout 2016, but this new announcement has us intrigued. The artwork for the show appears in purple, with lettering at the bottom that is reminiscent of the “Purple Rain” font. Considering the show will be in Minnesota, hometown of the dearly departed Prince, it stands to reason that the show may serve as something of a tribute for the members of Prince. The Ween guys have not been shy about their love of Prince, especially in the wake of his untimely death. We recently shared some classic footage of the group playing “Purple Rain,” and Dean Ween recently told the story of breaking into a studio at Paisley Park, Prince’s home and workspace. Read that tale here.Ween and Prince are both acts associated with colors, Brown and Purple respectively, and we’d be delighted to see what happens when those colors mix. Pre-sale tickets will be released tomorrow, July 6th, and can be found here with the password BROWN, before a general on-sale here on Friday, July 8th.last_img read more

Watch Broadway.com’s exclusive interview with Lloyd Webber and Phillips below, as they discuss the 2014 Japanese production. The original West End production of Love Never Dies opened in March 2010, directed by Jack O’Brien and starring Broadway faves Les Miz’s Ramin Karimloo and It Shoulda Been You’s Sierra Boggess. The show closed after a year’s run and Main Stem plans were officially scrapped, although Lloyd Webber later said he was “sure” the subsequent revamped Australian version would hit the Great White Way. View Comments Another step closer to Broadway? Love Never Dies, the sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s megahit The Phantom of the Opera, is heading to Hamburg, Germany, as Liebe Stirbt Nie. The production is based on the Australian reworked incarnation of the musical, directed by Simon Phillips, which was later filmed. first_imgSecond subsidy-free solar-plus-storage facility opens in U.K. FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailPrint分享PV Magazine:German battery manufacturer Tesvolt today announced the completion of a 7.4 MW PV power plant and 4.4 MW battery installation. The system was commissioned by West Sussex County Council in mid-October; and has now successfully completed its testing phase. As with the first subsidy free solar project in the UK, developed by Anesco, additional income brought in by the co-located battery is key to the business model: “Thanks to the high-voltage storage system, the local government earns additional money with grid services,” explains German manufacturer Tesvolt, which supplied the battery system. “Power generated at the solar farm will be sold on the electricity wholesale market. The batteries will generate additional income from price arbitrage, frequency services and triad management/ capacity market income.”Westhampnett Solar Farm is built on a disused landfill site, and is expected to provide enough power for more than 2,000 homes for the next 25 years. “it makes absolute sense for us to use our natural resources and to generate clean energy that can be fed in to the local electricity grid,” said County Council Leader Louise Goldsmith. “As one of the first solar farms to be built with battery storage and free from government subsidy, we are blazing a trail among local authorities and demonstrating that councils have a role to play as local leaders on energy.”While solar installations in the UK have largely ground to a halt since the government ended subsidies, a few business models have shown the ability to go subsidy free – particularly by leveraging the additional grid services a battery can provide.More: More subsidy free solar + storage for the U.K.last_img read more

first_imgThe 30-year-old opera singer who was arrested last Friday after crashing through U.S. Secret Service blockades around Mar-a-Lago had been given a written warning two days earlier for trespassing on another Palm Beach property.Hannah Roemhild, who is a Connecticut resident, was issued a warning by the Palm Beach Police Department on January 29 after a building worker called and asked officers to conduct a welfare check on an elderly woman who had a woman living with her, a police report states. The worker called police because no one in the building knew the woman named “Hannah,” who claimed to be the resident’s caretaker. The elderly woman’s family confirmed to authorities that they were not familiar with Roemhild and did not know why she was living in the apartment. The report does not indicate how long she had been staying there. When police questioned the suspect, she told them that she met the victim at church in Connecticut three years ago, and the woman allowed her to stay in the apartment “because they were friends.” However, she denied the worker’s claim that she said she was the woman’s caretaker. The victim told officers she did not remember Roemhild and had met her only two days earlier. The victim’s son then told Roemhild to gather her belongings and leave, which she did.Police searched Roemhild’s property to make sure she did not have any of the victim’s items, according to the police report.Meanwhile, she faces federal and state charges of assault on an officer and of deadly assault on law enforcement stemming from last week’s six-mile chase that began after she drove through two security checkpoints at President Trump’s Palm Beach mansion.Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office deputies opened fire, hitting the woman’s SUV numerous times. She was arrested later that day at a local motel, after picking up her mother from Palm Beach International Airport in the same vehicle involved in the chase and shooting.Roemhild’s attorney, David Roth, said at her first appearance in court that his client has a “well-documented history of mental illness.”She is scheduled to appear in mental health court at 9 a.m. on Friday.last_img read more

first_imgBarcelona are not getting caught up in the euphoria of their fans as they prepare for Saturday’s Champions League final against Juventus, coach Luis Enrique said on Friday.Barca supporters are on a high after their team wrapped up won the La Liga title and King’s Cup last month with the club now on the verge of repeating their historic treble from 2009.The Catalan giants are favourites to triumph at the Olympic Stadium but Juve showed what they are capable of by dispatching Barca’s rivals and holders Real Madrid in the semi-finals.”The fans are euphoric and we are delighted with that,” Luis Enrique told a news conference.”But as professionals we will approach the game with the utmost seriousness. “We will need to have a good day to get past a rival of this magnitude,” added the former Barca and Spain midfielder. Luis Enrique, who is in his first season in charge at the Nou Camp, said midfielder Andres Iniesta should be fit for Saturday’s match after an injury scare this week.Spain midfielder Iniesta will be expected to help unlock a stubborn defence, though Juve’s chances have been hit by an injury that has ruled out influential centre back Giorgio Chiellini. “I want to have the ball more than them, occupy their half and play at a top level but we are sure to have some difficulties,” Luis Enrique said.”I don’t think it will be a clash of styles as they will want to have the ball too. “They have resources and that’s why they are also in with a chance of a treble.”Like Barcelona, Juve have already won the domestic league and Cup double this season. They will be appearing in their eighth European Cup final and are chasing a third triumph. Barca have also played in seven finals, winning four, and are bidding for their third triumph in seven years in Europe’s elite club competition.–last_img read more

first_imgMax Kellerman got caught. An astute Reddit user (/u/YaBoiMirakek) discovered that during a “First Take” debate on Monday, Kellerman attempted to cover up his fart by making an awkward cough. This observation led to over 45,000 upvotes and even reached the No. 1 overall trending post on the entire website. (ESPN/YouTube) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/db/b5/max-kellerman-face_a37jk2j1adg81eycx44jc0ps5.png?t=641576698&w=500&quality=80 He’s not looking at Molly. He’s not looking at Stephen A.He’s looking off into the distance. His mind is telling him no. But his body. His body is telling him he needs to get this bottom burp out. So what does he do instead? He lets out an awkward cough. A perfect disguise to never let the millions of viewers know what you just did.Unfortunately it didn’t work out for Kellerman as Reddit detectives discovered it and let the world know about it. Now, even more millions have watched it on YouTube.UPDATE: Kellerman joined the “Dan Le Batard Show” Tuesday as the hosts on that show tried to get to the bottom of the story. The views counted from Reddit eventually led the video trending on the top 10 of YouTube. All because Kellerman tried to cover up his fart. Before we dive more into Kellerman’s booty coughs, let’s first watch the video.NBA PLAYOFFS: Full bracket, dates, times, TV channels for every series The same Reddit user also provided us with several timestamps of farts throughout the video.Let’s go through them individually.3:06Personally, I don’t hear this one. I’ve replayed the scene over and over again, but my headphones just aren’t picking it up. To be fair, YaBoiMirakek claims this fart is more of a “little squish” than a full-blown toot. 4:46There’s definitely a throat clear here. Was this to cover up the back-end blowout that was happening below? Maybe. 5:08It’s hard to hear over Stephen A. screaming, but there is definitely a noise emerging from below the waist here. You have to really listen for it with loud volume, but it’s there. 5:11Just three seconds later and we already hear another one. But as others on Reddit pointed out, this could just be host Molly Qerim saying “hmm” rather than Kellerman letting one rip. We may never truly know because the camera remains on Stephen A. throughout.5:27This is a very faint noise, but its presence is felt. Or smelt.5:37This now five butt horns within a minute. Maybe if it was one or two sounds you could pass it off as a weird noise, or Molly saying “hmm.” But this is a man who is struggling. The air inside of him needs an escape, and there is only one exit that works.5:50We’ve reached the main subject of this entire post: The Cough.Just look at Kellerman’s face a few seconds before at the 5:44 time mark. Kellerman denied the allegations. And when presented with the defense of, “Whoever denied it supplied it,” Kellerman claimed it was a no-win situation for him.But even more interesting is Kellerman saying he does not even hear the fart. So he’s denying involvement, and possibly even denying the very existence of the fart in the first place.last_img read more
