first_imgThe Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University ofFlorida (UF) invites applications for a full-time tenured facultyposition at the rank of Professor in the Department of Industrialand Systems Engineering (ISE). The position focuses on industrialengineering applications of artificial intelligence (AI) forfinancial technology (FinTech) and blockchain technology. The UFISE faculty have expertise in data analytics, health systems, humansystems, operations research, and supply chain and logistics. Thenew senior faculty position is expected to bring complementaryexpertise and form a thrust area in quantitative analysis forFinTech and blockchain applications by using AI and contemporarymodeling approaches (e.g., diffusion and financial instrumentmodels). Potential research opportunities for this position includecollaborations with other departments in the College of Engineeringand Warrington College of Business.UF ISE offers BS, ME, MS and Ph.D. degrees. We have approximately500 undergraduate students and 150 graduate students. TheDepartment hosts research in various application areas includingenergy systems, healthcare systems, supply chain systems andtransportation systems. We also currently host methodologicalresearch in data analytics, human systems engineering,optimization, simulation, and stochastic analysis.
